I don't think there's any emulators yet, that'll take a while.

Eh, just be patient, they're most likely gonna release the PC version , just like the the first game.
When? depends on how generous Sony feels.

But at the very least, I'd say the chances are way higher than Bloodborne & Last of Us. 🤣

Oh lol, EFFIN FINALLY.
Now I hope they port bloodborne soon.

Thanks for the info.

But yeah, Last of Us 1 release date was like .... 2013

considering how fast GoW (2018) was ported to PC. I'd say GoW:Ragnarok won't take as long (maybe)

The old last of us (ps3) or the new one (ps4)?

the ps3 version can run it in rpcs3 / xenia.

PS5 version maybe. Definitely not the PS3. In the trailer it says availble now on PS5 so could be that one, it could also just be the PS4 version altough I'm not sure if that makes a lot of sense.

PlayStation Plus is still a thing. Previously known as PS Now, allows you to get exclusive games on PC.

Ps4 and ps5 emulators are not available yet.

ps4 emulators are starting to be developed, they are only now starting to boot retail games and there are a lot off issues so it will still be years until we can use them but the future is bright. Interestingly enough the approach they seem to be taking is closer to a virtual machine than emulators we are used to seeing.

Here are two ps4 emulation projects

I am aware of these projects but they are as of now barely an emulator. Hence why for ops sake I answered as I did.

I assumed as much for the ps4 and xbox one in 2014 that virtualization or emulation of the system and not just emulation of the hardware will be what makes it run. Glad I was sort off right 😛

I see where you're coming from, the current emulators are in no way a solution to OPs problem I just wanted to add some more context, I love coming to forums like this and learning about new tech even if it's not quite ready for prime time.

I was a bit surprised that we are seeing PS4 emulation before xbox one, knowing completely nothing about emulator development I assumed it would be easier because of it's similarities to windows but then again I suppose there is less incentive since a lot of xbox exclusives make it to pc eventually.

im gonna have to look for it but there was one ps4 emulator that could actually play a few (very graphically limited) games (might have been devofspine... but honestly don't remember the name anymore)

old myth, but xbox is actually harder to emulate... there might be similar issues with ps4/5 now, cause ironically,  they're much closer to a generic pc box than previous playstation consoles which relied much more on custom solutions.

ps: and this is as far i recall because reverse engineering xbox specifically is much harder because due to the well known pc architecture microsoft was able to have much stronger encryption,  etc, ie they made it extra hard, on purpose...

whereas Sony etc, didn't really have that sort of freedom, they had to focus on their custom solutions to just work, first and foremost.

The direction tells you... the direction
