my cpu got 15% lower cinebench score than tested by others

my cpu is ryzen 5 5600 with stock cooler. my score was around 9500 meanwhile cpu monkey reported it at 11077.

did i just lose the silicon lottery or is my cooler not up to the job? im using a stock cooler. i checked the cpu on nzxt CAM (i know that i should use hwinfo but to be completely honest i dont really understand its readings) and it didnt seem to thermal throttle. it was resting at 75 degrees c.

i know that the cooling isnt that good and it probably had a big impact on the score, if so should i invest in a good cooler or does it not matter in the real world?

i use my pc for gaming.

What is your Ram? Generally stock cooler is good enough for day to day, and its a 5600 so it shouldnt be too bad, but you can always get something better.

Shouldnt affect it too much, also heavily depends on the gpu you use and such.

they're mostlikely running cinebench in high priority via taskmngr.

Depending on the types of games you play, it probably won't matter since you only have a 1660 Super.

If you play single-player games, you'll be GPU bound. If you e-sports titles, like CSGO and Rocket League, then you're only going to be using a couple of cores, so your multicore performance isn't that relevant. In those situations, you won't be pushing the CPU to 100% anyway.

It's only for recent AAA competitive titles, like Warzone, Halo Infinite, and Battlefield 2042, that you're going to actually push the 5600 to its limits - and that's assuming that you run the game at minimum quality settings, otherwise you'll be GPU bound again.

Cinebench doesn't really care about memory at all.

As far as why yours isn't getting as high a score as others, it could be a few factors, including power delivery on your motherboard and any BIOS settings that are different such as power limits.

Additionally, if you have a bunch of shit running in the background (ASUS Armory Crate, iCUE, etc.), they can affect scores. Shut off everything non-essential and run again.

honestly... thats pretty much spot on, except you will notice,  because your cpu will throttle a lot, run hot and make other components run hot too, so if you care about performance and health of your pc parts you should get a better cooler for sure.

the problem is nzxt cam is a resource hog and honestly what readings?  just check the cpu tab(s) temps, frequencies  basically. voltages/  wattage is only interesting if you know what the cpu should run at but its not really super important,  assuming it works as intended, which most cpus do anyways.

i dunno that sounds like the cooler isnt seated properly or something wrong with the thermal paste... you removed the plastic cover, didn't you?

should be more like 40-50c (or lower) while "resting"

In task manager right click r23 click go to detail, right click r23 again and change priority to high,

u need to check temps to make sure ur not throttling

do u have 2 stick of ram installed in slots 2&4 or 1&3 ?
