Do I need to upgrade my psu?

Bayron
Go to solution Solved by --SID--,

It's fine. Ryzen 3600 consumes about 10w more than Ryzen 2600. Total powerdraw of the system is 200-250w.

So I'm planing to upgrade my cpu from ryzen 5 1600 af to ryzen 5 3600 (have a very good deal for new one rn), but my psu is only 400w unit, be quite system power 9, to be exact.

Will my psu be able to handle the cpu upgrade?( not planing to OC anything)

Rest system:

GPU - inno3d 1650 super(uses 1 6pin connector)

1 m. 2 ssd, x2 7200rpm hdds, 16gb(2x8)xpg rgb ram(rated 3200mhz, currently running 2933mhz(lil oc, cuz cpu only supports 2667mhz) , 5 rgb fans whit controller (uses molex for power), wireless headphones and mouse and reddrgon k 552 rgb keyboard.

When GPU prices will get stable, I'll upgrade GPU as well, but then I'll probably will change psu.

Tnx for help 🙂

DW then they always adds a lil extra watts to be on the safer side. You'll be fine just don't try overclocking or some shi that gon draw too much power at once it can crash yo system. But for the most part you good
