AMD Optimized Ram?

I ordered new DDR5 ram (Corsair vengeance) for my Ryzen 9 7900x and I’m pretty sure they were “Intel Optimized”. Would this be a problem or will I be ok?

You'll be fine, that's just a marketing badge.

Intel came out with a platform that used DDR5 before AMD did so Corsair put "Intel optimized" on some DDR5 packaging for marketing. Same thing happened with the DDR3 to DDR4 transition, you saw packaging that said "Optimized for Intel 6th-generation CPU's" or some such. It's meaningless.

XMP has been supported on AMD boards for a long time. It's just the opposite that might cause some issues and may require update the bios on an intel platform to support AMD EXPO memory (will likely show up as DOCP in the bios).

 

But as far as "intel branded" RAM on an AMD pc? No issues.

It is not necessarily meaningless. Platforms from both sides have different preferred subtimings within the same generation DDR, so it may well be less optimal than on the platform it was originally optimised for. XMP is never 100% guaranteed to work despite what ram manufacturers say, as there are may variables between CPU, bios, mobo and the ram. Still try it and see. If it works, great. If not, try a totally different kit. Anything beyond CPU manufacturer supported speed and JEDEC timings is down to luck. The more you push, the more luck you might need.
