Pump in AIO Radiator?

kuraudo

In this video:

Linus mounts the radiator to the top of the case after noting that the pump is built into the radiator instead of the cpu block.

I just ordered the same AIO in white for aesthetic reasons (MSI motherboard and MSI 4090, white Lian Li O11 Dynamic Evo case), and am wondering if there are any concerns about having the pump at the highest point in the loop in this case?

When the pump is in the CPU block you would never mount the radiator below that due to air accumulation. Is there something special about it being in the radiator that makes this a non-issue? Or is the only practical way to mount this radiator vertically on the side/front? (I doubt it would be good to bottom-mount and let air accumulate at the CPU.)

Aesthetically, I would prefer to have it top-mounted, but AFAICT it would be problematic to do so?

I would return it and order one that hasn't been plagued with issues and then had the warranty handled very poorly.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.
