Can I delete this disk partition?

I have no idea what this partition is or how it came about, but I wanted to know if this partition in this picture is safe to delete? Any help appreciated.

What options do you get when you right-click on it?

It looks about the size and placement I'd expect of a recovery partition, although I'd also expect it to still say "Healthy( something )". Is this a laptop or a prebuilt desktop? It might be a manufacturer specific recovery partition instead of the one Windows installs by default.

 

Either way, it's half a gigabyte and you don't know what it is. Deleting it doesn't currently benefit you and could potentially harm your system in the future. I wouldn't even think about touching it unless you absolutely must have 600 MB more space, and judging by your current free space you don't need that.

Assign a drive letter to it if you can and send a screenshot of it's contents. Might be a recovery partition or something else important

I can't screenshoot it because the context menu goes away when I press ALT. But I can tell you it only gives two option, "Delete" and "Help".

What kind of PC are you using? 

At this point I would just leave it, but it's strange that it's blank.

Just use the Windows key and Print screen. Just tried it and it works perfectly.

 

That said it's probably the recovery partition. I dual boot and both SSDs I have show an EFI System Partition and a 550MB recovery partition - so that's probably what it is.

 

tbh you're best off leaving it alone. Attempting to delete it may cause you far more problems than it's worth... all for 0.5GB of extra space. Pointless when you have 728GB free.
