Hello.

I am looking to upgrade my pc, and after looking at different motherboards, I am left with some questions that I hope some of you may have the answer to.

Due to price (and no overclocking) I am looking at these two motherboards for two different CPUs: (have not desided which cpu jet) INTEL: https://www.asus.com/motherboards-components/motherboards/prime/prime-b660m-a-wifi-d4/ and AMD: https://www.asus.com/motherboards-components/motherboards/tuf-gaming/tuf-gaming-b550m-plus-wifi-ii/. I want to use an AiO to cool the cpu, but I cant find a "aio_pump" or any other AiO connectors on the motherboards. Does this mean that I have to use a wind-cooler? I cant find a aio-connector on any other mATX boards either, so does this mean that mATX boards are wind-coolers only?

If I choose AMD, I will most likely use this cooler: https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Liquid-Cooling/Single-Radiator-Liquid-Coolers/Hydro-Series™-H60-(2018)-120mm-Liquid-CPU-Cooler/p/CW-9060036-WW

If I choose INTEL, I will most likely use one of these coolers: https://www.asus.com/motherboards-components/cooling/tuf-gaming/tuf-gaming-lc-120-argb/   or    https://nzxt.com/product/kraken-120

If you are wondering, I am standing between these two CPUs: Ryzen 9 5900x  or  15 13600k

You can use the CPU FAN heder for an AIO, it'll work as good

Yet I won't get a budget Prime board on a 5900X or a 13600K, nor use any 120mm AIO cooler, esp. a crappy H60 one on those...

Choose your CPU first, 13600K is overall better than 5900X now, then get a board and cooler that are good with it

Most AIO have provision for not having a dedicated pump header on the motherboard.  Some will have CPU1 and CPU2.  You basically just need any PWM header for the pump if it's a variable speed pump or set one to 100% if its not a variable speed pump.

The 13600k is better than the 5900x in all regards.  It is better in gaming and better in productivity tasks.  The 5900x is still very good if you prefer AMD, the experience of using either one will be similar.  But, if you're looking at purely data results, the 13600k is better in every way.

Why not the Prime board? Do you mean just this or mATX in general? Do I "loose" something that I can get form a normal ATX?

And for the AiO: Do you have any recommendations (that doesn't cost too much)?

Edit: Do you think the TUF GAMING LC 240 ARGB AiO would be better?

Prime boards are rather low tier, and even Gaming are only mid tier, but woild be ok, just not great

And yes any 240mm AIO will be way better than a 120mm one
