How secure are your accounts??

So I was wondering how much the people of LTT protect their accounts.

Personally I use different passwords on all of my sites, each at least 100 characters long, and gets stored in LastPass. I use 2 step verification where possible. The weakest link in my security is my LastPass password, which is only roughly 50 characters long. I am starting to change all of my accounts to a separate email that is just for accounts, and I don't send emails from it.

I have two separate accounts email addresses, one attached to accounts containing personal information (address, name, age, dob) and one attached to accounts that do not contain any personal information.

I'm awful with passwords, I have two passwords, 6-10 characters long, use them for every website, and haven't changed them in 24 months+

This is an example of an old password I used to use.

"Hi, my name is Payden, and I love God. " Everything in the "s.

I don't see how that could be brute forced in any reasonable amount of time, or guessed at all. It goes well beyond simple passwords in general. And it's easy to remember because it includes basic grammatical sentence structure that everyone should have learned in elementary school.

I use KeePass for most of my passwords, but the ones I need to remember (MS account) I use sentences.

I only have unique passwords for anything that's important. Bank account, credit cards, paypal, Star Citizen, etc. So everything else, like the LTT forums is one of four standard passwords I use. I guess I have like 10 passwords, actually.

I've got like 4 different passwords I choosemy pass accordingly to the requirements of the website I'm registering on since one pass just has lower case letters, one has a Capital letter with a number, and one is a very long one

My account passwords are something like this (Not one of my actual passwords): gOZD75c5xQ3sU26tI3BiuahdwevfJ1iP4X8vXa79mQ6h59p2i1*e1%E1ne69683wQm88gR3%n*3!45Y0cd9zV4TM8qhC53yWtB!n

I can't change my WiFi SSID, it's infuriating!! And the modem/router (Combo that came with internet) is so bad I can only have a 13 key password, or one that's 24-something long!

I just use LastPass. My LastPass master key is the old password that I used for everything, and then a sentence.

Microsoft only allows for 16 character passwords, Google has a 100 character limit.

I generally change all / most passwords every couple of months and keep them around 40-70 characters long + 2 step verification for important accounts.

Edit: Apparently IP Board supports over 1024 2048 character passwords.

I've use this for every password I've had. https://howsecureismypassword.net/

Right now my LTT pass word will take 23 trillion years. Not sure how accurate it is but it should be.

Try it and put everything on max.

Did not know there were words for that high of numbers:

426 sextillion septuagintillion years

You know... Giving out the information you are asking for makes your password a lot weaker.

Typing in your password into a random website is not a great idea either...

Even a strong password can't protect you from stupidity.
