Recommended cooler for i7-13700k

Drizzt

I've been looking at the Noctua nh d-15. My lwst build I used a kraken aio. I'm also looking at the kraken z73.

What cooler would you recommend to tame the i7-13700k?

I read through the list of coolers pinned at the top and it didn't help me much because I've seen conflicting info showing the nh d15 can perform as well as the z73 for 1/3 the price and be quieter. I also am interested in trying air cooling for this build but I just want to know what you recommend.

Throw me a value option and a no compromise option please. Thank you

Nzxt aios are just meh performance wise, wouldnt waste money on one of those aios

Liquid freezer ii are currently the best aios on the market so that would be the aio to get if you care about cooling performance

Also d15 although good is just obselete nowadays, it just gets beaten by cheaper and/or better competitors (fuma 2, ak620, frost spirit 140, peerless assasin 120, etc.)

I reccomend sticking to a dual tower mostly because they just last forever and theyre cheap, heatsink itself is a hunk of metal, and the only thing you need to replace (assuming you dont get a passive cooler) would be the fan but those dont die for a long while (like a decade or 2)

What country?

If you are in the us theres the peerless assasin se 120 argb at 40$

If you can fit the d-15 it will cool it, as long as you are not overclocking

Lol, you necromancer you!

I've been using computers since around 1978, started learning programming in 1980 on Apple IIs, started learning about hardware in 1990, ran a BBS from 1990-95, built my first Windows PC around 2000, taught myself malware removal starting in 2005 (also learned on Bleeping Computer), learned web dev starting in 2017, and I think I can fill a thimble with all that knowledge. 😉 I'm not an expert, which is why I keep investigating the answers that others give to try and improve my knowledge, so feel free to double-check the advice I give.

My phone's auto-correct is named Otto Rong.🤪😂

You can do better than D15 on that CPU. A lot of people clock those chips with air.
