PS4 - Headset not working (Astro A50) - USB connection problem

AndersT2

My brother uses the Astro A50 with his PS4.

It works fine, but he want the stand closer to where he sits, and not have it USB sticking out on the front of the PS4 (Sony obviously can't see why anybody ever want anything connected permanently to the back of it, since they don't have any USB out there)

So he got a 10m Toslink cable, and connected the USB cable to a charger (standard phone charger), but it won't work. The Astro only uses the USB for power, and it most likely does have something to do with the data cables in the USB cable.

But do anybody know how we can get it to work?

Sorry for the few off Capital letters in my posts, it does it on its own when I Write in English, since my OS is in another Language. It's annoying.
