Hi, I would like to tell you this is my first build so sorry if there is any nooby stuff in their :P.

1. Budget & Location
My build is going to be at about a $1150 USD price range.

2. Aim
My system will be used for photoshop, a little bit of after effects, and most importantly gaming.

3. Monitors
I already have 1 1920 x 1080 acer monitor and i am planning to stick with that.

My Part List! :D

Ok, here is my part list i would like to keep with the same GPU and CPU but i need to find a good way to shave off about $150 USD.

Please let me know if I missed anything and that all the parts are compatiable as this is my very first build but I have been watching Linus for a long time :D.

As with everyone that plans to buy the Hero, it's wasted money on that board when other's can do the same exact thing..

And won't it look um.. small in a mid tower even?

I left the case up for you to choose, I would pick one that looks good to you, then research it too see if has good airflow. It is what you will be looking at 90% of the time when you see your computer, so it's definitely something up to your preference.

-snip-

You could get an MSI Gaming instead of the Hero and save about $50. Get a Seagate Barracuda and with the money you save, get a 16GB kit of RAM. You could also get a lower watt PSU to save even more money such as the EVGA 750W Gold ($89)

I like the color scheme of Noctua fans. Deal with it. Forget about the bad memories of the past.

you should do this, or shift around the parts a bit more and get a 780 instead.

@OP the way your build is now is really suboptimal and the GPU of your 'gaming' computer is suffering.

If I got a 780 wouldn't that boost the price up a lot? And isn't the 770 a good card for gaming?

CPU: Looks good!

CPU Cooler: Don't need this, I suggest picking up a Hyper 212 EVO.
Motherboard: Misconception that you need a fancy board to get good performance. I heard someone put this really well earlier; "The board doesn't really effect performance, just find one with the features you want."
Memory: All good here!
Storage: Looks alright, although with the money saved from getting a cheaper board and cooler you could pick up a 120GB 840 EVO.
Video Card: Good choice!
Case: Cases are more personal preference then anything!!
Power Supply: Don't need 850 watts. I run a 4770K/780 on 650 and I'm fine.
Optical Drive: All good here!

Seems alright over all.

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)
