Migrating a RAID to a new platform

Ok so I currently have a RAID config in an intel z platform, I want to move it to a x570 platform but dont want to lose any data (its a 12tb raid 0 config so backing it all up would be a big problem. What steps do I need to take to do this?

You will need to recreate the raid array on the new platform. So back it up and restore the backups.

 

Id just get a large external hdd, thats the cheapest way to back it up.

So there is no way for me to just move the drives over without backing them up?

Nope, they use different raid formats.

Thanks for your responses. I might just leave the old platform running for the time being than, dont really wanna go buy an external drive just to back this up, old platform is doing its job for now. Thank You

Did you create the raid in the bios or windows?
