Signatures and the "no images" thing

Not really a suggestion per se, but more a clarification I want.

Do Coat of Arms count?

It essentially an svg in png format (with a transparent background, so if blinding the basement dwellers is a concern, I don't think they'll be worried) nor does it have flashing stuff.

If you want why?

I spent an inordinate amount of time on it and I want to show it off.

Images are not permitted in signatures, regardless of what the image is.

You can place images in your profile picture or profile cover photo.

Now the mods can give me a warning point for backseat moderation or being a dick or whatever,
but if it ain't too much trouble, just disable this thing at the bottom:

I'm pretty sure it is too much trouble. I'm fairly certain forum treats certain things as one, without anything to distinguish the context they are used in. So text editor would be same across most elements. Disabling attachments there would disable them everywhere.

I like that we don't have to scroll past gigantic billboards in peoples' signatures, but I'm still just a little sad that images aren't allowed because it means we can't use these old things from 15 years ago:

 

 

Or better yet, those even smaller, more pixel-y ones that seemed to crowd up the bottom of every blog's sidebar back in the day. (I'd post an example but I can't find any because I don't remember what they were called...)
