Seasonic Focus GX-650 80+ Gold, PC powers down and restart randomly in game.

Alfredomk

CPU is a Ryzen 5 5600x, the GPU is an RTX 3060ti. During a session of Spider-Man Remastered my PC powered down and restarted a couple of times at random. This doesn't happen when playing Rising Storm 2, which is much less demanding. Is it triggering the safety feature of the PSU because of transient spikes? But it's a 650W, it shouldn't do that, right?

What should I do? Change the PSU for 750W? Or should I try to undervolt the GPU?

What's the brand and model of the RAM?

Brand and model of the motherboard and what BIOS version is it running?

Can you simulate a shutdown by running Prime95 SmallFFT on the CPU and Furmark on the GPU at the same time?

Mobo is an MSI x570 A-PRO, RAM is Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x8) 3200 Mhz

Bios version is E7C37AMS HE0 06/22/2021

I didn't try running PRime95 and Furmark yet. I've tried playing a modded version of The Witcher 3 where the GPU also touches 100% load, and it went smooth. 🤨

The motherboard as an 8+4 pin configuration for the CPU power but I only plugged the 8 pin. Might that be an issue?

Some Corsair Vengeance run bad with Ryzen. What's exact part number and version number?

No.

Try Prime95 SmallFFT + Furmark like I suggested.

No issue.

RAM is vers. 3.32

But it shouldn't cause a shutdown and restart, right?

Yes it can. What's the exact partnumber. It's like the CMK16GX4and-so-on in the picture I added.

Corsair used Micron/Spectek 8Gbit Rev. H for that RAM kit. Check the the memory QVL of the motherboard for compatibility with that particular partnumber and version number.

Edit: did you enable XMP for the RAM in the BIOS of the motherboard?

I did. I also just finished a memtest and it gave me 0 errors.

I couldn't find this model under the "Memory by RX-5xxx" tab. Does it mean it's not supported?
