Yep.  A pink and black two-tone Caselabs Mercury S8.

put a barbie sticker on it to complete the look.

Hey...Barbie's hot.   :)

I was just looking at BBBB, and my god, it's beautiful.

Thanks!   The PPPP will be just as beautiful....but more....feminine.   :)

Does this means he is Ken?

They say you never have enough fans, right?

Actually......first name is Ken.  But I go by Chris.  Which is my middle name.

I think I ended up with 52 fans in the BBBB build.  Quite the chore on painting, sleeving, stickers......

If only I could mod that well :( my girlfriend wants a computer on her birthday and she knows I'm good with them, but I suck at modding. Looks sweet IMHO

:D  :D   Finally....someone gets it.       I mean, think how fast she will be able to switch from pin to pin with SLI'd 780ti's?  Ya know?   It should be required for any Pinterest machine.

Omg the pink, it burns!!!

Cool of you to do for the lady though :P.

You think it burns now?   Wait till you see it with all the clear acrylic water blocks and pink coolant.

Exactly.  Can't ever have too much.   Plus...she has a lot of FaceBook "friends", and it take some power to go through and "like" all those posts.  Speaking of power......

0018-_MG_0216.jpg

....I'm not skimping on the power supply.   Because in addition to Pinterest and Facebook.....she also will use this machine for...*gasp*....placing online Scentsy orders.   Yep.    I know.   All you previous scoffers that didn't think this needed to be a powerful machine....can sit back and choke on that.  If I start skimping on parts....first thing you know she'll be missing FB notifications....or something else horrible like that.

Hey....good to see you over in this forum also!   How much overlap is there with OCN?   I was trying to figure out if I wanted to put my current build log over here also.  What do you think?  Different forum members....or a lot of the same?

Hehe, welcome btw! :)

We do have some OCN regulars who put their builds on here like B Negative,

deafboy, Snef, Akula, p0pe, Hanoverfist and probably a few that fail to

come to mind at the moment (sorry guys), and people have been pretty

enthusiastic about their projects from what I can tell (I shall not count

myself as an OCN regular at the moment because sadly I haven't really

had the time to be as active there as I'd like to be, but yes, support

for my builds here has been fantastic as well I'm happy to say :) ).

In any case, without making an accurate and reliable census, I think overall

the overlap between OCN and LTT is probably not that large, at least not

when it comes to the regulars. I haven't really met anyone except those

mentioned above on OCN, at least not frequently enough to remember (I'm

sure there are more than just those members who are on both forums).

As far as I can tell, quite a few people around here got into computers via

Linus' Youtube channel and then joined the forums from there (at least that's

what I've seen in mentioned by a number of members) without really

being active on OCN or other large computer forums, so I'd reckon membership

overlap is likely smaller than between many other (and older) tech

forums.

As said though, that really is just, at best, an educated guess based on

my (probably non-representative) personal experience and some deductive

reasoning.

TL;DR: Nope, not that much overlap. Yes from what I can tell, I'd reckon

you'll gain quite a few new admirers by posting here. :)

Aside from pure membership overlap, it's a bit easier to keep track of

build logs on this forum than it is on OCN since LTT is, while sizeable,

not quite as large as OCN, and more importantly, build logs are all just

in one forum section.

Chris, just be aware of the different average age of members here compared to OCN and the mindset that comes along with it. So far I see you already clashed on another thread :P

Geggeg!   Younger group over here.  I'll have to remember that.  And I wasn't trying to clash!   :)    Just didn't like being treated like a noob.   I don't care if he has 700 posts....or 70,000 posts.   My assessment of someone's maturity is not related to the number of posts they have in a certain forum.   He was weighed, measured, ....and found lacking.

Sometimes my 12yo daughter has more maturity than I do.  So....definitely not always age related.

If I have a slow day....I may start up the log over here.  I'm kind of a closet Linus fan.     I appreciate the expansive and well thought out answer.    :)

Ya I am on your side. But anyway it's weird that the one tech forum I habitate most is where I chose a stupid username :P

Go for the build log here, everyone who appreciates art and detail will love it!
