I thought you mentioned treating these topics via PM? That's what I did and I apologized(I like to admit when I'm wrong)

All resolved, I hope this can be the beginning of a friendship on this forum. :)

Let me first say that "one who craves" is an awesome stand-up guy.   Friendship?   Yes.    We bumped heads a little bit earlier in a different thread....but he ended up being the bigger guy than me, and making things right.    I will always appreciate him reaching out to make things right.   I'm humbled by the quality of the people here if he is typical of Linus members.

More pictures?    I think I may do the whole build log on this forum....so yes!  More pink pictures in the future!

Awesome! Maybe your builds will convince me of reaching out for a Caselabs case, I've thinking on going for a full custom water cooling system for awhile.

Geggeg!   Younger group over here.  I'll have to remember that.

Yes, from what I can tell, we do in general have a pretty young membership.

But in all honesty, even as a mod (meaning as a person who probably,

statistically speaking, gets pointed towards more isses/incidents than

the average member will encounter) I have overall a pretty positive impression

of the general community around here (side note: I'm 28, FYI ;)).

Sure there are members who tend to cause trouble, but those you tend to

have in every community (at least the ones I've been a part of), and often

those are the ones making the most noise and are therefore noticed much

more than the large majority who's behaving well, but such is life (I'm

sure most people are familiar with that phenomenon).

And yes, the typical "AMD vs NV", "AMD vs Intel", "PC vs Consoles" stuff

happens and tends to cause some friction, but meh, that's normal for tech

forums IME. That's what mods are here for.

And in any case, as you say:

Sometimes my 12yo daughter has more maturity than I do.  So....definitely not always age related.

Age is not necessarily that good of an indicator if maturity. By far not

all issues I've come across were cause by younger members.

And besides, I'm pretty tired of the whole "today's generation [...] such

horror, so bad, blablabla" shtick TBH. If you want the younger generation

to respect you and turn into people you respect yourself, then you better

put in some effort and give them something they can actually respect, set

a good example and all that. Yeah, I know, sounds a bit like a cliché from

a self-help book, but that doesn't make it less true IMHO. If you're not

willing to put effort into the younger generation, you don't really have

any legitimate reason to complain about them IMO (and I say this as the

eldest of four brothers).

Oh, the "you" in this context is a general one, not specifically directed

at you, of course. ;)

If I have a slow day....I may start up the log over here.  I'm kind of a closet Linus fan.     I appreciate the expansive and well thought out answer.    :)

Excellent. And yeah, I tend to, uhm, write, like, essays

and stuff. I'm sure there are people who just see my avatar

and go "Great, that guy again! *scroll* *scroll* *scroll*". :P

Yeah, these things happen. Great to see you worked it out. :)

And yes, Caselabs boxes are freaking awesome. Pricey, but awesome.

I certainly don't regret my purchase.
