magnetic power bar attachments

teknohpile

After I saw linus feature those little magnetic power bar attachments I got to thinking. Just how universal are the screw mounting holes on various items? because I'm in an apartment and it would be awesome if I could get my router mounted a bit higher on a wall without making holes in the wall. little ferrous metal discs with command strips and magnetic mounts would be awesome for all kinds of things I think.

Thoughts?

ooh, now I want a version with sound isolation so that I can hang speakers in my apartment without my neighbors being able to hear them.(tho depending on how strong the magnets are I could probably put a piece of rubber on the magnet to achieve that affect
