I was watching the latest video, I've got a multi-monitor, setup (multiple 43" panels and some smaller ones).
Dan's setup really caught my eye.  Timestamp 8:00

• I see some pipes being braced forward for stability,
• His panels look like they are hanging from the horizontal pipe,
• With some more piping stretching over head for lighting, holding headphones, tape 

 

That seems like a very practical set up getting things off the desk, with potential to have some storage and parts bins hanging from the piping.

I'm not familiar with this hardware at all,
Is it repurposed camera equipment?

 

Hoping somebody might be able to point me the right way.

Why hasn't Brandon been promoted?

 

Does anyone keep track of their service length? I think Alex, Brandon, Jake and Anthony have been here since the beginning?

 

And weirdly for a tech company there's no CTO .. no wonder why their servers are always fucked and they keep loosing data!

Presumably, Brandon doesn't have an interest in a supervisor role, which is part of why Andy is the production supervisor. Though, according to the website, Brandon is technically promoted to cinematographer rather than camera operator.

Brandon was hired fairly early on, but both Alex and Anthony joined after they bought the big building, Anthony before Alex I believe.

 

I don't believe they really need a CTO especially as they don't have a CIO they really just need an IT person whose role is dedicated server/computer maintenance.

Hi all, my post was merged by the mods into this thread,

Was wondering if you guys know what sort of pipe framing Dan's setup is using.

 

It looks really practical and I'd like to explore adopting it for my home setup.
