What are of your favorite smaller youtube channels?

Pickles von Brine

Besides tech, any cool channels you have ran across?

I love weather and this guy is a meteorologist and breaks down tornadic events:
WeatherBox

This channel called Tornado Forensics goes minute by minute of a tornado from formation, its path and what it did, to when it ropes out:

Then you have guys like John Michael Godier at Event Horizon who does long form interviews with various scientist, futurist and more talking about the cosmos, stellar objects, alien life, discoveries and more.

f4mi - a channel about homebrew and shovelware games, heavy nostalgia, funny.

Bismuth - Technical analysis on speedrunning and Tool Assisted Speedruns. Currently he is doing a series on the "A-Button Challenge" in super mario 64. Great in depth analysis on what it takes to break a game.

Low Level Learning - Programming channel focusing on low level languages like Rust and C.

Settled - Old School Runescape player that does ridiculous self imposed challenges in the game.

Ben Eater - though not very active, has a great repository of information on very low level programming and architecture design, including a complete detailed and easy to follow guide on build an 8 but computer from (basically) scratch.

Tomatoanus - Speedrunning commentary.

Ahoy - Video essays on games, and other pop culture.

Posy - A E S T H E T I C video essays about cool stuff like seven segment displays.

Technology Connections - A little bigger of a channel, but great videos about older tech both innovative and not.

Define "small".  Out of all the channels above, I only know of Technology Connections.  Here's the ones I frequent regularly:

--

Brandon Herrera - The AK guy.  I also occasionally watch Demolition Ranch, Garand Thumb and Kentucky Ballistics.  Gun porn.

Forgotten Weapons - Extremely in-depth gun porn.

Donut Operator - Former cop who does bodycam footage breakdowns.

Bad Obsession Motorsports - Home of Project Binky; the greatest car build ever.  100% Pure fabrication porn with a dash of Monty Python humor.

Angry Cops - Covering military fuckery in all its finest.

Project Farm - Hands down the best head-to-head comparison testing you will ever find.

Tom Scott - Learn about obscure things all over the world.

Simon Whistler - Literally any of the dozen + channels he narrates are educational (Geographics, Biographics, Mega Projects, Casual Criminalist, etc).  He's like half of YouTube.

JCS Criminal Psychology - Breakdowns of actual suspect interviews/courtroom footage, with narration (and comparisons) from criminal psychology.

MonteMayor - As with JCS, few vids.  But quality is peerless.  Reviews battles from command perspective.  His seamless transition between illustration and actual photos in his Pearl Harbor video--is unbelievably good.

Zeducation - Meme porn.

Plainly Difficult - Coverage of various Nuclear, Chemical and Engineering disasters around the world.

USCSB (US Chemical Safety Board) - Official findings about industrial accidents.  Illustrated/animated.  There are many other channels that touch on some of these events, but I think of the USCSB as the definitive one.

Mark Rober - Not exactly a small channel.  Coolest engineering projects you will probably ever find.  I also recommend Engineering Explained.

Mentour Pilot - Everything you might want to know about civil aviation to reviewing various mishaps and their causal findings.

Chubby Emu - Ever wonder what happens to your body when you ingest something you shouldn't?  Or why working-out excessively could kill you?

Adam Ragusea - My favorite food channel.

The Critical Drinker - A drunk Scotsman reviews shows/movies.

Red Letter Media - Home of the original and best Star Wars Episode 1 review (Mr. Plinkett)
