I need white peripherals for my PC

Gachr
Go to solution Solved by Samdb,

If you want a mechanical keyboard, which I would advise you could go with the Ducky Shine 3 white edition and pick yourself a set of white keycaps from WASD.

Alternatively, if you want to use Apple peripherals, the keyboard in particular, you could use this tool. But before you buy I recommend borrowing your friends keyboard to ensure that it will work on your PC.

Hello, I am recently progressing a lot with my PC build and I have decided to go with white :) I will be getting Bitfenix Phenom White for my chassis and probably ASUS MX239H as a monitor but I need your help with getting me some peripherals.

I need a mouse and a keyboard, of course they need to be white.

I was thinking about getting peripherals from Apple, they aren't officially compatible with Windows, I've heard about programs that can do it but here is the question - how it works?

Of course I'm open for peripherals from other manufacturers.

I don't really have any requirements for the mouse except that is needs to be comfortable, I don't really like the "gaming" ones even though I play games sometimes.

For the keyboard I prefer ones with low keys but not too low, I have Logitech K120 and they are too high for me but I don't like laptop ones neither. I have that problem with keyboards that I live in Denmark but I prefer US-layout keyboards so availability of US design in Denmark would be a great thing but not a must, I can always ship it from US/UK/PL.

I was thinking about using a touchpad especially that I use Windows 8.1 so it would be nice to have it but it's not a must at all.

This is my first post on the forum so hello to everyone and thanks for all help ;)

For mouse I can recommend the SK Gaming ver. of Mionix Avior 7000, it's not all white but a mix of white and black, and it's optical. http://mionix.net/products/avior-sk/

Well usually gaming mice are the most comfortable.

Some people like the windows intellimouse, but all 3 of mine turned yellowish in some time and I really didn't like the in general.

And then if you're talking about the mouse Apple includes/d with their iMacs, that is one of the most horrible mice I've ever had to use. I't weighs more than a brick, it's really unergonomic and just in general I found little love for it, it's built nice though.

And I've seen people using Apple keyboards with their PCs, so they seem pretty solid @Gachr

I would recommend the Steelseries Kinzu. Its White and a little bit black but its a good mouse and not that expensive ( http://steelseries.com/products/mice/steelseries-kinzu-v2 ) or maybe get a Zowie AM ( here you can see the mouse in white, it's kinda cool http://www.zowiegear.com/index.php?i=product_gallery&p=1 ). Both neither top end gaming gear, good quality and not the most expensive ones = ) ( and they dont look like they've came out of a sci-fi movie)

@RatedBlam Thanks for the opinions, right now I have a black Logitech M100 and this is a comfortable mouse for me and it's very cheap. I have just seen a white version which I really like :)

@Jmds Thanks, they look really good.

I'm still thinking about Apple stuff, how does it look to use it on a PC?

And do you have any white/silver keyboards?

Steelseries has a white sensei raw with blue lights. I have a similar mouse to yours and it is not very different from the sensei raw. Keyboards are harder but you might find some white mechanical keyboards. I use a Mac style keyboard and while it looks good I would not recommend it for typing or gaming.

Main PC:

ASUS F1A55-M LX, AMD A6-3500, (2x2)gb Kingston HyperX Blu DDR3 1600mhz, Seagate Barracuda 500gb 7200rpm,
 Corsair CX430M, Cooler Master Elite 343, Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit

Netbook:

Lenovo Ideapad S10-2, Intel Atom N280, (1x1)gb DDR2 667mhz, WD Scorpio Blue 250gb 5400rpm, Zorin OS 9 Lite

If your monitor is silver they will probably look nice, not sure.

I'm not a big fan of white peripherals, they change to a yellowish colour after some heavy use and they only look nice if you have a monitor to go with them.

You have this one ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823126301 ) its not all silver, but it looks kinda cool, it's cheap and washable. A friend of mine has one cause he's a disaster with glasses filled with liquid ( if they are empty they are never knock down) on his desk and it's pretty cool, not the best typing experience but its pretty decent. The keys are all white and low profile. I know it's not all white or silver but it looks cool with a white build i think = )

@Probenja

Thanks, I was looking at it and it looks ok.

@Jmds

Thanks for all suggestions, like I said I will get a monitor as well (I plan to buy it soon) and a chassis to match.

I have tried the Apple peripherals at my friend's and I like it but I'm concerned about how it will work on a pc.

Thanks for it, well the problem is that my friend lives 1000km from me ;)

Will it be fine to use any bluetooth dongle for them? And I guess they won't work with UEFI?

I don't see why it shouldn't but I'll do some looking around and then I'll get back to you.
