Will this network topology for TP-Link X60 Deco work ?

lykan_MD

I am planning to buy a network switch and 3 X60 Decos for my new home. Will the following network topology work (I intend to use ethernet backhaul) ?

A network switch will be connected to the main router. The main deco will connect to the switch and not directly to the router. The next deco will be connected to the first deco and third will be connected to the second.

All the connections will be done via Cat 6 ethernet cable.

My PC and NAS will be connected to the switch directly while TV, consoles and mobile devices will be connected to the decos wirelessly.

Will this topology work fine? Also, what modes should the decos be in ? Router or Access Point mode ?

Should be fine how you have it laid out 🙂 VLANS and decos always seem have an issue in my experience!
