Most stable/performing driver for RX5700 XT

BOBWARPATH

Heya guys I Was wondering what the most stable GPU driver was for the RX 5700 XT, I recently upgraded to a RX 5700 XT strix, and holy crap the newest driver is laggy. I'm currently running 21.7.2, and I'll tell ya, latest driver DEFINITELY ain't the most stable. 21.7.2 was way more stable, wondering if there is any better ones!

Because you don't understand anything about how to make your PC work? I'm surprised you even found the power button on the first place!

Yeah no joke now, all you seem to be doing is shitting on every thread about how AMD cards don't work properly... and here I am with my 6600 literally blooming rainbows in graphics down a heavy Firestrike combined, getting no less than 90 FPS in Trepang and then some. Seriously, drop the trolling on things you don't understand.

To make a point to both of yall, I used to have an RTX 2060, and upgraded to a 5700 XT for 300 bucks WITH a warranty! And my concern isnt crashing or anything like that, the version I am on runs perfect! I was actually just seeing if there was one that was more efficient, my card runs a tad hot in games (60c core 90c junction), and I heard new versions might run cooler/ But the 5700xt CLAPS my 2060 especially in ark

I mean a 5700 is not worth 300 over a 2060, but to answer your question, I'd simply use the latest. Haven't had any issues with it myself, 5700 cards were more problematic, but they should be fine too by now. You could set up a custom fan profile from the control panel FWIW. Lock your FPS as well if you aren't.

Will do. And tbh I just wanted to try it and get some more Vram, but it does actually clap my 2060 on ARK , atlas, and assetto corsa. Im able to go max settings on ark now. Probs will go back to nvidia one day, but for now I still have my 2060 and 5700xt has warranty, so I'm chilling

Funny. I don't consider crashing randomly and needing to find older drivers acceptable, but you do you sis.

If you're crashing, you might have a problem somewhere else to begin with. Unless you actually bothered to check your event viewer and nailed the issue down to the AMD drivers (which no doubt you haven't), anything you say will be an assumption.

It's the drivers, as they're what crashes. I don't have any problems with any Nvidia cards. Only the AMD card. I've tried both.

Again, there could be a whole lot of other reasons. Unless you pinpointed that it indeed is the drivers, nobody who knows what they're talking about is going to take your word for it. It might be the PSU, or anything else really.
