GTX 770 and ASUS VG248QE

VokusX

I'm going to be picking up this monitor soon, and I was wondering If a single 770 will be enough to handle games like Dota 2 at 1080p @ 144fps. Is the monitor even worth the money?

A single GTX 770 can certainly handle Dota 2 @ 144FPS. It's not a heavy game.

lol, Dota 2, are you serious?

The monitor is not worth it imo. Better get a 1440p ips monitor at 60hz.

I have that same monitor and video card. You will be able to get 144 in most games. But for DOTA 144hz doesnt make sense, Higher refresh rates are for FPS games, not MOBAS or RTS

Yeah, I understand that, I was just using Dota 2 as an example.

Yes why wouldn't it be, would rather get a different monitor imo, something like an IPS or a different TN panel, don't really like the look of the Asus one

hellooooooooo

dota 2 is not that heavy of a game, it'll handle it fine.

but if you decide to play games that are more heavy, then it might just handle the games with a single 770
