why are radeon gpus so power hungry

so i have a xfx rx 570 8gig black edition and its always tryin to draw a crap ton of power and my psu is not taking kind to it my gpu works great i stream at 1080p with out an issue should i buy a new psu so i dont keep having this issue? p.s its a crap prebuilt psu

define "a crap ton of power"? 150w isn't much among modern graphics cards

 

crappy PSUs should be thrown out just for reliability issues. You wouldnt take a cheap heart surgery and ignore the rest right?

If your PSU can't handle a 150W card, replace the PSU. 

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

i have a 650 but i am also running two ssd and two hdds the hdds are ran off of a secondary power supply

Yah if your PSU can't handle an rx 570 of all things which is in fact NOT a very power hungry card in general... it might be a huge dud. I recommend something like seasonic focus 750 watt. Will allow reasonable upgrades in the future.
