To those who own those wrist rest with cooling gel, what are your thougths?

I found this HyperX wrist rest that has cooling gel.  It's $25 CAD on Amazon right now.

I just want to know how long the cooling last, and if I need to put it in the fridge to cool it?  And if there are any downsides when it comes to longevity?

Looks pretty good. Might buy myself! Cool gel don't need to be cooled. It's not freezing, but it won't get warm from your wrist

i own one of those, and never realised it's "cooling gel".

i like it, but you need to be aware that the top surface is fabric, and as a result you need to clean it occasionally, and use a hairdryer to tighten the fabric back up afterwards, or it becomes yucky and soggy.
