Intel Screen Recorder or ShadowPlay?

There is a built-in screen recorder in the Intel Graphics Command Center. How well does it perform compared to Shadowplay?

 

I can't find much info about it online, but I have several questions as to whether it also has framerate issues, how much it impacts performance, and whether it makes a difference on an Optimus laptop since Shadowplay records from the discrete GPU.

Try it? I wonder if it might be limited to each vendor's hardware being in use at the time, so if you're gaming on the nv, you might be limited to shadowplay anyway unless you seek another generic solution.

Neither shadowplay nor Intel's recording feature should drop frames. 

Both of them should have next to no performance impact as well. 

 

Both of them use ASICs that just sit idle unless the feature is on. 

 

 

I don't know which one will look the best though. For that is just recommend you try both out for yourself.

It's not about frame drops but because of bad syncing which leads to the video being sped up all of a sudden. This happens quite often with Shadowplay and when frame times are very inconsistent.

I don't really understand what you mean. 

 

When you record you should be recording at a constant FPS. It does not matter what your frametimes are in games, your video should always be the same frame rate. 

Try resetting everything to default and then record with Shadowplay again. I feel like you have changed some setting that messes things up.
