So far i'm may get a 4770k and a 290 (non-x).

If you have anything to add, It would be appreciated :D

You don't need a 4770k for gaming. Really, you don't. Trust me I made that mistake.

Grab a 4670k?

GPU you picked seems aight.

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

To be completely honest those upgrades won't really help in Dayz, there isn't really anything you can do to make Dayz run good, my 3570k @4.4Ghz with my old 7950 gets the SAME EXACT fps as my buddy with with his 3770k @4.4Ghz with SLI 4gb 680's.

Sky Pollution | i5 3570k @4.8Ghz | MSi z77a g45 | MSi GTX 770 Gaming 2gb | Samsung 840 Evo 250gb, Samsung OEM 500gb HDD | Corsair CX750m | Corsair 760t White Edition |
Corsair M95 | SuperLux 668b's | Logitech C615 | ViewSonic VX2250wm | Random OEM keyboard until I rage break it and grab another random OEM keyboard from my pile.

Hate to be the guy saying this, but,

Budget? Do you live near a Microcenter?

Any particular thing you want on the build? Quiet? Color Scheme?

Do you need an OS?
What resolution are you going to be playing? hz?

Budget - 700$ to 850$ (for gpu and cpu)

Microcenter - Nope

It's not a full build, just Cpu & Gpu

Uses - Gaming, small bit of Video editing, and a little Graphic Design

Just upgrade that GPU to a 760

A 760 is too little of an upgrade for what I want.

Getting a 770, a 4670k and a Z87 mobo should do it,  not really much of a point getting a 4770k.

@NohbdyKnows No really, no GPU setup will stop you from lagging terribly in cities. The game is not optimised. That is why. I still get unplayable fps in places like Zelenogorsk and Vybor with my 4670k and 280X.

This upgrade isn't only for DayZ, but so I can get better FPS in all games.

I don't have DayZ, so I wouldn't know. It's probably still not needed, could just pick up a Xeon in between 4670k and a 4770k.
