whats a good usage for an old laptop

i have a compaq 510, i think it was from 2005? it has core 2 duo and 2gb ddr2 if i recall correctly, originally runs vista now runs windows 7, its very laggy for even basic use so no one really can use it but i dont want it to go to waste

You can use it as a linux server, to learn linux etc.

Possibly a small minecraft server to play with friends?

Almost all old PC's can be utilized as HTPC....at least up to a point.

1. Replace the HDD with an SSD (literaly any cheap 250gb Sata SSD is fine)

2. A very lightweight Linux.

3. Maybe consider upgrading to a 2+2gb Ram Kit at least, look for some old compatible Ram on Ebay~. 2gb might be fine with modern lightweight Linux, but Todays Websites can draw alot. Don't expect to have 10-20 Tabs open with only 2gb Ram. But for Basics, it will work fine.
