MAC M1 - Battery not Charging

Hey,

I am using a Mac M1 air (2020). It's pluged in, but I getting a message that battery is not charging. I used the official diagnostic tool of Apple and it didn't found any problem. Moreover I used the adaptor with another cable and connected to my iphone and it seemed to work. As I see it there is a problem with the USB-C to USB-C cable. What do you think I should do?

What charger are you using? Does it support USB PD?

it could be the cable as if it is not making contact on all data points it wont be able to handshake and provide necessary voltage for your mac to charge.

If there was any problem with the battery or a port do you think Diagnostic tool would notify me about it?

No clue, never had to deal with diagnostic tool on my mac.

Sounds like you might have optimized battery charging enabled. Once the battery hits 80% it will stop charging
