Random question: what is your favourite game of the borderlands series?

My legendary budget setup:

  • Audio: LG Type-C Earphones
  • CPU: Intel Core i7-5500U
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce 840M + Intel IGPU
  • RAM: 8Gb Hynix 1600MHz RAM DDR3
  • HDD: 1TB 5400RPM 2.5"
  • Keyboard: HP KU0316
  • And yes, its the HP Pavilion 15-p220na

imo all the games in the borderlands series are clumped up in the same place in my head. No way to split them into "separate" games since I've played/replayed them all at least twice so any new releases were remembered as part of whatever I replayed most recently. Plus their specific technique of animation and drawing helps with it 🙂

It is free in terms of money, but it comes at a somewhat steep price elsewhere: 100GB of drive space along with a similarly sized download.

 

That's a lot, even by modern game standards. I did a bit of a double take when I saw that. I'm sure it's worth it as a quality game, but for someone with slower Internet or lower amounts of space on their computer, it might have to be a pass until their circumstances change.

 

For me, I've been downloading it for the last 4 hours so far, and thanks to my 50 Mbps Internet speeds, it's still only 63% done. I estimate the download will take about 6 hours by the time it's done. For someone with 5 Mbps Internet, this may not be feasible - it would take 2.5 days. Although I've got 3TB of space available for games, so while the download time sucks, at least space isn't a concern for me.

Nice, now I've got the whole game series for free on EGS: The Pre Sequel, 2 and 3.
