Planning for [name is unknown]

TheSLSAMG
Hey guys, I am planning for a future build (will be completed in a few months) and I needed help figuring out the compatibility for all the parts.

CPU:  Intel Core i7-4770K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($309.99 @ Amazon)
CPU Cooler:  Corsair H100i 77.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler  ($89.99 @ Amazon)
CPU Cooler:  Corsair H75 54.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler  ($79.32 @ NCIX US)
Motherboard:  Asus Maximus VI Impact Mini ITX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($213.98 @ SuperBiiz)
Storage:  Sandisk Extreme 120GB 2.5" Solid State Disk  ($135.31 @ Amazon)
Storage:  Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive  ($54.98 @ OutletPC)
Video Card:  Gigabyte GeForce GTX 770 2GB WINDFORCE Video Card  ($329.99 @ Newegg)
Video Card Cooler:  NZXT Kraken G10 (Red) Video Card Cooler  ($33.98 @ Newegg)
Case:  Corsair 250D Mini ITX Tower Case  ($84.99 @ NCIX US)
Total: $1405.52
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)
(Generated by PCPartPicker 2014-04-22 15:38 EDT-0400)

This is the build, possibly substituting the Maximus VI Impact and 4770K for the Maximus VII Impact and 4790K when they come out. What I need to know is if all this will work together, how it will work together and some video/image proof.

Thanks!

EDIT: I already have the GPU, PSU (not listed), RAM, HDD, SSD and H100i.

Why are you upgrading to an i7 from your current i5?

All i would change is that SSD to a 840 pro/evo, and i wouldn't spend $80 for a h75. Get an h60 or something for $40-60. Then put that into some fancy-pants ram.

P.S. For anyone asking, I bet he's using a kraken g10.

Probably best to look up on the support page for the motherboard for the memory specifically. The 4770K will work fine of course.

Water-cooling the GTX 770 with the G10 Kraken will be a bit of a challenge & fitting it within the case. Might fit with the H75 next to it but looks like a tight fit.

If you look at where the 120mm fan mount is in the front, he should be able to do it no problem.

I am using a 2500K. It's a pretty old platform. And I need the extra CPU power for VMs/MC Servers.

I have heard specific issues with lower end Corsair AIOs, of which the H50 and H55 are the only low end ones compatible. And I already have the RAM.

Yeah, that's the issue. I don't know if the Kraken will clear the width of the case.

Well corsair isnt the only AIO vendor. I'd look into some other brands. The h75 just doesn't look that great.

That is what i meant. The gpu is all the way to the left, and the front fan mount isnt obstructed at all.

I know they aren't the only one, but they are readily available and I trust them.

Ya, not sure the H75, or any cooler with the rad will fit in the front once the mobo and the video card are installed. Empty it looks like it, but once all installed, may not. Also, the kraken g10 turns your card from a 2 slot to 2.5 or so slot width card inside the case. So, only two expansion slots in rear is ok, but not sure on clearance on the side with your GPU though...

If he manages to cram it in, won't matter - will never see it. :)

That's pretty much what I am worried about. I may just buy the H55/H75/Water 2.0 Performer and try it anyways, and throw the AIO in my secondary system if it doesn't work out.

It's not that it looks ugly lol, i meant it's not that appealing performance wise. Then again, it's cooling a gpu.

I thought that MC servers only used up the ram not the CPU.

Same with VM's (I think)

Just about to say this, If he's comfortable using a dremel on the G10 he could make it fit and would lose very little rigidity if done properly, if it doesn't fit of course.

No, a VM/MC Server uses both CPU and RAM resources. I plan in the future on getting 16GB RAM, but I need the CPU power more.
