power draw question

so allot of people tend to list drives (ssd etc) when their asking for psu help, do drives actually draw a noticeable amount of power or is it hardly noticeable compared to something like a gpu?

Pretty much negligible. a HIGH POWERED SSD like those new intel ones draw what like 7 watts was it? A normal one will draw less than 5.

They're pretty much a non issue when determining a PSU.

Drives usually draw well under 10w each.

From samsungs website, an 840 evo draws .1 watts ;)

HDD's only draw about 5-15W each. SSD's draw even less.

My Current Build:

so only in situations like mass storage servers would have to worry if they had the power?
