Upgrading monitor (1080p to 1440p Ultrawide)

I'm currently looking to upgrade my monitor to a 3440x1440 165hz ultrawide from a 1920x1080 165hz monitor.

I had originally thought about upgrading my CPU from the 3600 to the 5800x but wrote it off since I wouldn't be gaining much on 1080p. However, since I am now considering the ultrawide at 3440x1440, would I see much benefit in fps if I upgrade to a 5800x? Is my current setup optimal to game at this res? I realize that I'll be playing at a lower FPS but I'm planning on getting the 4000 cards later on anyway, might not be a bad idea to future proof the monitors.

Current games I play are: Valorant, Horizon ZD, RDR2, Elden Ring, Apex

Currently rocking a 3600 @ 4.1gHz and 2070 at stock settings.

You would only see an effect if the game demands a higher cpu load from resolution increases. If the games load only demands higher Gpu usage from resolution increases , then the cpu upgrade will have no effect.
