Pc restarts after shutting down after i changed my case?

Hey guys, my cousin changed a case, and his pc restarts after shutting down, i disconnected the power sw button, i disabled restart after system failure, i disabled fastboot, i did smth in regedit but its still restarting after i shut it down on the shut down button in start (ik it doesnt make sense but it is what it is) can anyone help?

What did you do in regedit? There's no reason to be making registry edits for a restarting computer after a changed case.

You didn't mention disconnecting the reset switch. Does the case just have a faulty one?

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

Agreed.

This is NO reason to make registry changes after a case change -- no evidence that points to O.S. causing this issue.

That is like....my car is not starting after replacing my car battery... let's mess around with the car's ECU / ECM.

 

Check the Power / Reset front panel connectors / wires, and make sure they got rewired properly after.

Could it be a windows update trying to force itself through? Sometimes when I shutdown my machine(without the use of the case button) it will attempt to update itself, if a restart is required as part of the update install, it'll then restart afterwards.

hey guys, i found what was causing a problem, it was a front panel usb connector, when i connect it to the mobo pc automatically powers on, so i just disconnected it and now it works.
