Solved - Acer Predator XB271HU Flickering and crackle and pop- issues

Hello!

 

Had the same issues as most others with this monitor.

Flickering and sometimes a crackle and pop.

 

Check the image below, See the 3 red circles.

Thats cracked solder for the power socket.

 

Removed old solder, re-solder the 3 joints (positive, ground, negative) with fresh solder.

That was a very THIN layer of solder..

Dont think there was enough solder to keep the power socket stable when inserting/removing the powercable.

 

Anyways.

Monitor now works perfectly again.

No more flickering or cracks or pops.
