3060; variants selection

saudahmedbass

Confused between these variants:

1) palit 3060 dual -540$

2) evga 3060 xc - 590$

3)msi 3060 ventus 3x - 644$

4)msi 3060 gaming x 2x - 644$

Which is the best variant? If i go for palit and save money. Is it reliable and temperature wise? I am not looking to overclock at all

I have given brand specific variants name. The difference is cooler/clock speeds. I just want reliable card which i can run atleast 3 years lol.

And I don't wanna shift to amd gpus. Just a preference pf nvidia

Seeing as you can get a significantly higher-performing card (6700xt xfx triple fan) for $600 USD- In the US at least- with practically no trade off on your part in terms of functionality... Go for that, or wait for prices to drop. 3060 isn't a particularly compelling card though, even at msrp.

Much expensive consider 700-750$ for a good variant.

No warranty claimable

No resale

Have to do pre order.

Nvidia is ready stock available with warranty and prices are the cheapest. I have to select from only these 4 variants. Hope you guys understand

#2 - should be Asus 3060 Dual - not EVGA - if you find an EVGA within those prices - it's probably the XC model.  If you are choosing a 3060 - and those are your choices, just pick the cheapest one.  The Palit or Asus card is pretty good.

All things being equal I would pick EVGA for their excellent customer service.

Yea thats xc variant. My bad i forgot the name. Asus not available here. Palit is the cheapest. And built quality seems fine.

For any kind of problem. The distributors send the gpu to the vendors location. So no direct interaction with evga's customer service. Thankyou for the suggestion

Pick the GPU, buy which ever brand/model is the cheapest. It's not even remotely possible that the MSI can produce a 20% difference on the same chip. So why pay 20% more?

I recommend to buy cards with 3 fans and not 2 - That way you get better cooling, lower noise and better efficiency.

Idk, stuff like the Asus Strix triple fan 3050 (when they have a smaller 2 fan variant of the Strix design already) is pretty absurd.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

My favorite suggestion till now ♥️

I have no need for cooling and low noise. The only factor is reliability.

Yea. Agreed. Thats why i am asking to go for entry level variants because they seem fine enough to run AAA games

They'll all perform around the same; you're mostly paying for quiet operation and looks.

I'd just get the cheapest one as the 3060 isn't a hot card to begin with.
