Well it does say "HIGH PERFORMANCE, UPGRADABLE GAMING PC" so i guess they mean you have to add the GPU.

So then to have a rig with i7 4770 and a gtx 760-770 it would cost 1k???

Yep they seriously need to fix. But at least they managed to make the Y series Gaming Laptops awesome for the price. There are probably the only things that they can label as gaming since the rest I have seen didnt impress. (really looking forward to the Y50 Laptop)

Oh yes, i mean you could even get a cheaper core i5 and 8gb of ram version and stick any gpu you want, that is considering the psu they use is powerful enough and has pci-e connectors which i doubt.
