Which Kirby games are 'must-plays'?

I have never played a Kirby game before, but it's been on my list for a while. And with the release of the newest Kirby game, it really has me wanting to dive into the series. However, I don't think I want or need to play EVERY Kirby game that's released. Especially since there are THIRTY SIX of them. So I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the absolute must-plays of the Kirby franchise are?

I'll always have fond memories of Kibry's Dream Land for Game Boy and can absolutely recommend that one. Not a long game, but a good one. The NES one Kirby's Adventure is also worth playing. 

 

I missed a bunch after that, but I did play Epic yarn, also another solid title.

Epic Yarn is super fun, very playable on Dolphin if you've got even an entry level gaming rig (I'm talking esports levels of performance).

Kirby pinball (I think that's what it was called) and kirby's dreamland for gameboy were my favorites as a kid.

Easily Epic Yarn and Return to Dreamland. So much fucking fun.
