Neither is worth buying in 2022.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

If you go off eBay prices, the 8100 is $100 buy it now. A new i3 10100 is $80 new. Even the i5 10400f is $130 new.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

Nah, even their average used prices are at 70-80 on the low end

At that point presumably you’re buying a motherboard anyway since this is a pretty low end processor for H310/etc, where you should just spend the extra money on an i3 10100 which outperforms the 8100 by miles.

I mentioned the condition of "if you can get them". Even in my country the 10100f is 90$ including tax. But I have to say, the igpu comes in handy. I kinda hate that previous cpus with igpu used to cost as much as these new ones without it.
