Since NVIDIA released the GT 1030 in 2017, is it possible to expect an RTX 3030 for about $80-$100 USD for ultra-low-cost systems? I would appreciate one, just because having a GPU at that price might be better than integrated Intel UHD Graphics (IRIS XE is not yet implemented into desktop CPUs that I know of). Although if you have AMD integrated graphics, especially since RNDA will be coming to their APUs in the future, you'd be better off with those.

But having dedicated graphics is better than integrated if you have enough video memory. And it could help with perks like DLSS.

no

they wouldnt add raytracing to such a low end product nor would they bother making low end products at all when they can just manufacture high end ones for more money.

The card you're looking for is the NVIDIA T400 or T600 but like the GT1030, they don't have a HW encoder and they don't have RT cores.

The T400 costs about the same as GT1030 but performs about 12% better at 30W.

The T600 is about 40% better than the GT1030 but also costs more. It is comparable to GTX 950 or RX 560 but also without the encoder.

These cards are based on Turing.

The only Ampere card that actually is worse than RTX 3050 is the RTX A2000 but it's expensive as heck.

The xx30 cards typically are "a display output with a video decoder, can do a bit of 3D" and that's about it, they don't have any of the fancy stuff like RT/Tensor cores, encoder etc so unlikely DLSS would be in the mix.

As a person who doesn’t care about Ray tracing, I definitely just buy a non RTX card. But since the 16 series hasn’t been updated, it’s unlikely.
