My first Idea is this

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/9Xrccb

I am not sure how you might get the OS because I did not include it, also I did not include any peripherals.

I want to see other peoples opinions on this build because I could be missing something.

(The aio would be an exaust fan)

EDIT: You might need to get a seperate mounting bracket

The 3080 is better than the 6800xt but the 6800xt has 16gb of Gddr6 Vram which can be useful in different situations

Sure

1440p, 1080p, and if you don't stream, edit or have any other use for CUDA cores, I'd go with the 6800xt. At 4k, they're both pretty close and come down to price and preference mostly.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

Then the 3080 makes more sense.

What's the price of 6800xt vs 3080? Also depends on if you want ray tracing or not. 6800xt is about the same performance as 3080 minus ray tracing. I also think the 6800XT will age better due to the 16GB of vram. Similar to the RX580 8GB models, they still hold up decently due to them having more vram than necessary at the time.

In terms of your build, I would go with something like this:
