Will my case be able to hold Ironwolf(s)?

ArcticApe

Hello!

I recently build a new pc and intended to use the old one as a NAS. Nothing crazy, 2 drives and an SSD or two max.

Anyway, I settled on the Coolermaster Masterbox 320L because it was cheap and held enough drives.

My worry is that the drive mounts are literally 2 lose pieces of plastic without a single screw or vibration dampener whatsoever. Any tips on how I can get something more sturdy in there? Thx!

You could try sandwiching something between the drive and the sled. made sure whatever you choose isn't flammable. you're right. it shouldn't be so flimsy. how much did you pay?

That's not a problem. In most NAS boxes they's be hard-mounted to metal...
