I Water Cooled my Laptop

Altas Projects

I was inspired by the LTT video of a water cooled laptop... wanted to try it for myself.

It's quite loud, but the GPU temps are 7-10 degrees lower with it on.

I have a build & results video here:

This was just a test of the idea, I've already removed it. If it had significantly improved performance I would have designed and printed a quick disconnect. However, because of the power constraints (it's an HP laptop after all), the 10 deg reduction in GPU temps didn't really translate to better GPU performance.... so I don't think it's worth it to design a version 2.0, at least not for this particular laptop.

Hi I was also interested on water cooling my laptop in a similar way and it seems like a have a better performance and noise improvement compared to yours, probably because my laptop has a lot more heat pipes, I do not have a 3D printer so I am planning on using thermal adhesive, I am also looking for a permanent solution that won't come off while the laptop is in my bag. I will attach my post of what I have accomplished so far if you want to take a look at it.
