Odyssey G9, games cause eye strain when in full screen mode

If the game is running in full screen mode for some reason it becomes physically painful to look at. I tried turning VSYNC on and off updating drivers for the monitor and the card nothing helps. 

Does not matter which game I this still happens, but everything is completely fine when I am playing in borderless mode. The display IS set to 240fps in NVIDIA control panel and in windows monitor settings 

What could be possible reason for this?
