New RTX 3070, metal bracket bent from factory?

Hi

 

just installed a brand new RTX 3070 and after i was done i noticed metal tab at the end where all the HDMI/DP slots are was bent. I am pretty sure it was not me, or else i would notice it.

 

are they shippped like this maybe? Been many years since i bought a GPU

what brand  and model is this?

tbh it looks a bit odd (and cheaply made) but if its really only that metal bracket its probably nothing to worry about .

Some better pictures would help though, also how it sits in the pcie slot, if its even just slightly slanted that wouldn't be good.

 

and i had like 5 or so gpus over the last 3 years and no, this isnt normal, usually the metal  part at the end looks far more flush and high quality(also usually hardened, yours doesnt  look like that) 

 

Only card that looked slightly dodgy was a MSI rx590 , which incidentally also performed absolutely awful.

thanks for your post. I am attaching more pics, only thing i could think og maybe this could have been done for vertical GPU positioning? It seems it would help hold the card more stable?

You still haven't said what card model you have. I'm going to assume given the barcode that it's a KFA2 which isn't supposed to have that bend if you look at product photos on their website.

yes sorry it is KFA2, i thought the model on the sticker would be sufficient but you are correct on the pics
