Looking for an assist with my top picks

Quoll

I've narrowed my choices of new PSU down to the EVGA P+ 1300 and the Seasonic Prime 1300 Gold as they both seem good and I can get them for about the same price. Which of these would you go with and why?

Corsair HX or EVGA P2, because they're better.

FYI, this forum is anti Seasonic.

So here, it will be Corsair recommended the most.

AMD R7 5800X3D | Thermalright Aqua Elite 360, 3x TL-B12, 2x TL-K12
Asus Crosshair VIII Dark Hero | 32GB G.Skill Trident Z @ 3733C14 1.5v
Zotac 4070 Ti Trinity OC @ 3045/1495 | WD SN8501TB, SN850X2TB
Seasonic Vertex GX-1000 | Fractal Torrent Compact, 2x TL-B14, TL-D14X

What makes the P2 better? From my understanding the P+ is the newer option. Would you consider the P3 a better option?

What's the issue with Seasonic?

I’m not too sure. I bought my first one about a year and a half ago, and no problems to report..

Sure, but that doesn't make it a better option.

Probably not, at least because there are zero reviews on it. And also the fact that it's made by HEC and this is to my knowledge their first 80+ Platinum platform, something may go wrong we need reviews.

It's a very acclaimed series, basically one of the reasons why EVGA PSUs are so popular today. These units are very robust and well reviewed in contrast with P+ which just looks like another spin on NEX-G/GQ/G+/G5 FSP-made series. I'm simplifying ofc but it's nevertheless a less optimal choice for when you actually need a 1.3kW PSU because at the very least it would have a coil whine and i think there were reports that it's also not very quiet.

It has problems with Ampere GPUs, no idea if 1.3kW one would manifest them but again, if you actually need a 1.3kW PSU, it's better safe than sorry. So why do you need a 1.3kW PSU to start with ?

Sorry, but you've bought a Focus with 'Prime' label slapped on it.

That’s ok! It runs my Ampere just fine, and it’s got a good warranty. Rails are nice-n-tight, no problems. You’re hatred is misplaced.

20% longer warranty for a 50% higher price is not a good deal.

Compared to a 50 degrees rated 750w PSU a 750w Seasonic is actually a 600w.

Its less need and more of a 'since i'm looking for a 1.2kW and this 1.3kW is practically the same price I guess I may as well'.

Not sure why you are trying to make me feel bad about my purchase again but.. it was all they had at the time, and it was on sale. So I didn’t pay the premium. While there may be plenty of choice now, when I built my rig the shelves were bare. As for running at 50c.. not going to happen in my rig. As it stands right now, it can supply the 630-650w my rig needs when crunching BOINC or F@H. Not with a 5600X of course.. I do have a 5900X as well.

It's not hatred lol, it's acknowledgement of flaws products have. And your PSU doesn't have problems with Ampere because it's again, actually Focus platform, not Prime. =>850W Primes GX/PX and any Prime TX will, it's all over the internet.

Okay ... so do you need a 1.2kW then ? Anyway if you do, you know my recommendations. I'd personally prefer HX because it's multi/single-rail switchable but P2 (or Super Flower Leadex Platinum SE for that matter since it's the same thing) is fine if cheaper.
