I'm a super-novice, used Macrium and cloned my first drive in 7 minutes - I watched a YT video or two, just to assure i was doing it right and it was very easy

Macrium reflect.

Biggest advantage is you can do a live clone from within Windows which makes things easy for novices. Its also a superb backup program.

Macrium and its competitors like Veeam and many others achieve this via Windows Volume Shadow Copy Service. So, they all kind of work the same with VSS doing the heavy lifting but differing on the interface and specific features.

Clonezilla is offline only and doesn't use VSS.
