Radeon Pro WX7100 VR experience?

Elijah Kamski

Hey guys,

There's a sale for the Radeon Pro WX7100 right now, and it says on the website that is VR Creator Ready, so basically kinda VR Ready I'm guess, which leads to the question:

Does anybody know what the VR experience of this would be like?

I'm currently having to do VR on a laptop GTX 1650 4GB.

I solely play only VRC and Beat Saber, but want more detail in VRC and so does anybody know if the WX7100 will provide a much more detailed experience?

Headset: Vive Cosmos

Thanks,
Eli

Based on my Experiences its a RX480 in most of the keys factors.

And effectively in Benches I think your 1650 is going to beat it.

If you are looking at Work station cards what is your budget?

Sooo... bad thing?

I also compared some info on GPU benchmark, and looks like it's on par with the mobile GTX 1650, and the normal GTX 1650?

With the RX 480 being above slightly?

Based on what I see a W7100 is less than the 1650 mobile.

you could buy something like an old tesla m40 from eBay but it will require a lot of tinkering to make it work

Around $500 to $700 AUD.

$1000 AUD if After Pay is available or PayPal's new Pay in 4 thing.

Look back to 9 series, a 970/980/980ti would all be a decent upgrade and no one is using those to mine.  Or a maybe even 1060 6gb.

RX5600XT or RTX 2060 SUPER should be right around there. Maybe even a RX 6600XT or 2070 Super.

Hi, thanks for the suggestion, I've looked into it a bit just now, but I think with the current GPU prices, I'll stick to something that I know will work and is easy, as I don't want to experience another GPU failure during the high prices.

Thanks!
