No display, red LED. Help!

Notglad

Just did a motherboard swap on my rig. Put in a z590 gaming plus from MSI and a 10700k.

Previously to this my computer was running fine. Im a pretty big noob and have no clue what im doing.

My RTX tuf card has a red LED ive never seen before. Google suggests its a seating issue (which is why i put it in the 2nd pcie slot, since the first slot's tab wasnt clicking)

And i get no display. Everything lights up no matter the slot its in but i get no display and the light stays on

(Website wont let me attach photos, for some reason but the led is right above the pcie connector...)

If it's a seating issue you can simply remove the GPU from the PCIe slot and then put it back in, so try this first. I'd also try removing the PSU cables from the GPU and reconnecting those to while you're at it.

Make sure both sides of the power-cables are connected properly.

I had something similar changing stuff out (different hardware though). PSU side cable came loose and system would not boot. Put cable back in all is well.
Hope you have the same.

I personally do not know what that red light means. It does look like it has text next to it, read that!

When i ask for more specs, don't expect me to know the answer!

Red light means no or insufficient power to gpu  so doing as the above poster said should resolve the issue.

Edit: crossed the "already fixed" above.

Congrats on OP 🙂
