Kushigro

Hi , I'm planning to build my PC with 5800x ,3080ti and only component remaining to purchase is case. I'm thinking of getting 4000d case, want suggestions as what fans i should purchase them.140 or 120mm which ever you recommend who are great at performance and quiet ( i am looking for full black out build so don't want RGB)

I've this under consideration

Arctic p 12 pwm or pst pack of 5 ( is this good idea?)

Noctua 140mm NF-A15 Hs-pwm chromax

Noctua NF -A14 PWM chromax

Noctua NF-F12 PWM chromax

I would recommend the Arctic P12 pwm because they are not too worse than the Noctua ones and are cheaper.

4000D Airflow & Arctic 120mm fan x 6 owner here.

Very happy with this low noise/decent cooling combo, although I have a lower tier CPU/GPU rig. But it should still be good for your components.

3 x intake fans in the front, 1 x rear exhaust & 1 x top exhaust (I also added one for the CPU cooler).

Great case to work in, especially if you have no need for the HDD cage below & just have NVMe M.2 &/or SSD drives…

Don't forget to get the Arctic P12/P14 A-RGB versions, if running these with the RGB turned off (especially for the awesome looking white version + the white 4000D) is something you might consider. Otherwise a 5x pack of Arctic P12/P14 is the best option, like mentioned above.

The thing about 140mm in the 4000D (the front anyway) is that it appears to be made with 120mm in mind. I say this because 120mm are unhindered, so 100% of the air is free to enter the case.

With 140mm, the edges of the fans are blocked by the sides of the case, so you lose some of their airflow, which may bring them closer to 120mm in efficiency.

The top fan positions may be more 140mm-friendly but don’t quote me on that.
